JapaJew is not entirely accurate but JapaCzechCanadianJew is a bit long. Plus, “JapaJew” has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?
Growing up, my multicultural family wholeheartedly embraced other cultures and traditions. This background of acceptance and celebration played a huge role in my decision to convert to Judaism.
While I had been immersed in Jewish life since 2012, I started the conversion process in September 2014 and formally converted the following May.
I welcome your questions, comments, advice and suggestions – there is still so much for this #JapaJew to learn!
